Salzburg
Salzburg combines alpine panoramas, culture, and modern infrastructure – ideal for conventions and congresses.

Salzburg – where crystal-clear lakes, impressive mountain peaks, and urban culture merge.

Salzburg is an outstanding convention destination for congresses, meetings, and MICE events. With its central location in the heart of Europe and excellent transport connections, the city is easily accessible from all directions. A modern rail network, short distances on site, and Austria’s second-largest airport ensure efficient travel and smooth logistics.

Event organizers also benefit from strong networks: universities, research institutions, and innovative companies offer valuable opportunities for cooperation, sponsorship, and inspiring speakers. This close connection between science, business, and culture makes Salzburg a strong partner for conventions.

In addition to its infrastructure, Salzburg impresses with its quality of life and atmosphere: baroque settings, cultural highlights, and modern urban culture meet here with a dynamic economy and international spirit. This combination creates an inspiring environment where people come together, ideas grow, and events have a lasting impact. Every convention in Salzburg thus becomes an experience with a lasting impression.

For sustainable mobility in Salzburg

Guest Mobility Ticket

With the “Guest Mobility Ticket”, overnight guests throughout the Salzburg region benefit from environmentally friendly mobility. The ticket allows free use of the public transport network across Salzburg – including city transport, regional buses, suburban trains, regional and long-distance trains, as well as micro public transport. It can be used without restriction throughout the entire stay.

Financed through a slightly increased overnight tax, the ticket is valid from the first night and is issued at hotel check-in. For arrivals by train or bus, it can also be sent digitally in advance.

This offer provides great advantages for the MICE sector in particular: Participants can easily reach hotels, venues, and supporting programmes; transfers are simplified, and the organizational effort for event planners is noticeably reduced. Especially for large congresses and international meetings, the ticket creates unified mobility for everyone.

At the same time, it reduces costs, improves the CO₂ balance of events, and supports sustainable mobility concepts. The Guest Mobility Ticket thus strengthens the profile of Green Meetings and makes Salzburg even more attractive as a modern, responsible convention destination.
